Our top tips for making the most of the must-sees
When is the best time to visit the must-see destinations?
Normandy can be visited all year round and the climate is generally mild and pleasant. Each season has its own charm: the tranquillity of winter, the awakening of nature in spring, the pleasures of summer, the charm and colours of autumn.
You should be aware that some coastal destinations can experience peaks in visitor numbers during the summer months. We would therefore advise you to come and enjoy them out of season (or during the week in spring), in mid-autumn or even in winter. If you come in the summer, don’t hesitate to plan your excursions and trips for the early and late afternoon.
How do I get to Normandy?
Normandy and its emblematic destinations are easily accessible by various modes of transport. In addition to the road and motorway network, the region is well served by rail from Paris, Rennes, Tours, Lille, Lyon and Marseille.
