The Marcel Proust promenade
It runs along the seafront from the dunes of Cap Cabourg to the beach of Home-Varaville.
It is the longest pedestrian promenade in Europe (3.6 km).

The Grand Hotel
Marcel Proust came here regularly between 1907 and 1914. As well as eating madeleines for breakfast, he loved to watch the tides. There’s no doubt you’ll be charmed by the atmosphere in the large dining room and the panoramic view over the English Channel.

The Villa du Temps Retrouvé
Immerse yourself in the Belle Epoque, between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the First World War. This new space brings together, room by room, a wide range of items from the Belle Époque: works of art, furniture, films, photographs, sounds, costumes… all linked to the imagination of Marcel Proust.

The racecourse
State-of-the-art facilities welcome racegoers and the curious all year round. In summer, the magic of the trotting races is that they take place exclusively at night. The excitement for spectators is all the greater. Visits are organised to find out more about the world of trotting and go behind the scenes at the races.

The writer of À la recherche du temps perdu (In search of lost time) was inspired by Cabourg to imagine the fictional town of Balbec.

- As you stroll along the Promenade Marcel Proust, the Méridien de l’Amour is the ideal spot to propose (against a backdrop of the sunset, of course!).

Market days in Cabourg
The Cabourg market is held in the Halles car park on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. In the high season, the market is held every day except Monday. In summer, Cabourg also invites you to discover its night market and entertainment on Saturdays from 6pm to midnight.
