>Until 3rd September: Tall Ships Regatta, Le Havre, Seine-Maritime

Some of the largest tall ships in the world will dock in the Le Havre for four days of celebrations.

Three major exhibitions of the artists' work held in three different museums.

> Every Thursday: Les Jeudis du Pin, Le Haras du Pin, Orne

Weekly shows with dressage displays and show-jumping.

>1st – 10st September: American Film Festival, Deauville, Calvados

One of the country’s most famous film festivals, with premiere screenings of the latest US film releases and big stars on the red carpet. Tom Cruise is this years' guest star.

>2nd – 3rd September: Dieppe Retro, Dieppe, Seine-Maritime

Numerous historic vehicles rush around town before gathering on the seafront lawns.

>8th – 10th September: 'Foire Millénaire de la Sainte-Croix', Lessay, Manche

An impressive horse and cattle fair which attracts over 400,000 visitors every year.

>9th September'Grande Table d'Hôtes', Rouen, Seine-Maritime

A 220-metre long table which can seat 280 people for a giant banquet on the Place du Vieux-Marché.


>10th September – 8th October: 'Sun Impression(s)', Le Havre, Seine-Maritime

“Impression Soleil Levant”, Claude Monet’s masterpiece, returns to its birthplace, alongside a selection of paintings by Boudin, Dufy or Turner.

>From 16th September: Great Barrier Reef at the Panorama XXL, Rouen, Seine-Maritime

Discover the unique underwater world of the coral reef off the coast of Australia in all its fragile beauty and complexity.

>16th – 17th September: European Heritage Days, all over Normandy

As every year, the public will have opportunities to visit buildings, monuments and sites, many of which are not normally accessible.

>16th – 17th September: Fête du Fromage, Neufchâtel, Seine-Maritime

Neufchatel Cheese festival with tastings, food markets, street parades and competitions.

>20th - 26th September: Canadian Film Festival, Dieppe, Seine-Maritime

France’s only Canadian film festival.

>30th September – 1st October: 'Fête de la Crevette', Honfleur, Calvados

Shrimp festival with sea shanty, shrimp peeling competitions and other activities.
