>1st – 10st September: American Film Festival, Deauville, Calvados

One of the country’s most famous film festivals, with premiere screenings of the latest US film releases and big stars on the red carpet.

>2nd – 3rd September: Dieppe Retro, Dieppe, Seine-Maritime

Numerous historic vehicles rush around town before gathering on the seafront lawns.

>8th – 10th September: 'Foire Millénaire de la Sainte-Croix', Lessay, Manche

An impressive horse and cattle fair which attracts over 400,000 visitors every year.

>9th September – 8th October: 'Sun Impression(s)', Le Havre, Seine-Maritime

“Impression Soleil Levant”, Claude Monet’s masterpiece, returns to its birthplace, alongside a selection of paintings by Boudin, Dufy or Turner.

>16th – 17th September: European Heritage Days, all over Normandy

As every year, the public will have opportunities to visit buildings, monuments and sites, many of which are not normally accessible.

>16th – 17th September: Fête du Fromage, Neufchâtel, Seine-Maritime

Neufchatel Cheese festival with tastings, food markets, street parades and competitions.

>30th September – 1st October: 'Fête de la Crevette', Honfleur, Calvados

Shrimp festival with sea shanty, shrimp peeling competitions and other activities.

>End September: Canadian Film Festival, Dieppe, Seine-Maritime

France’s only Canadian film festival.
