Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue (Manche)

The little fishing harbour of Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue has a jolly evening crafts market. Saint-Vaast (pronounced ‘vah’) was voted ‘France’s Favourite Village’ last year by viewers of the French TV channel, France 2.

Saint-Martin-en-Campagne (Seine-Maritime)

This market is held every Friday in the summer months, and is accompanied by concerts and even fireworks on occasion. This highly popular summer market also boasts stunning views over the sea from the nearby cliffs.

Port-en-Bessin (Calvados)

Port-en-Bessin is the number one fishing port in the Calvados département, and the market is spread along the quaysides against the backdrop of fishing boats. On Friday evenings over the summer, this popular evening market is also paired with fireworks over the historic nearby Vauban tower.
