The real Faraway Tree
Legend has it that this oak tree is over 1,200 years old, and that it was planted on the day Normandy was born. At the heart of the Pays de Caux, halfway between Dieppe and Le Havre, this incredible tree has become a truly unique tourist attraction, which amazes visitors. Straight out of a fairy tale, the majestic oak boasts a staircase, small balcony and even two tiny chapels hidden in the trunk! Pay the old tree a visit soon though, because scientists have warned it only has 100 years left to live.
