This workshop focuses on the delicate art of designing a photographic book, under the expert guidance of Patrick Le Bescont, founder of Filigranes Éditions, who, with 35 years' experience in the field, guides participants through all the stages involved in conceiving and producing an artists? book.
After exploring the relationship between text and image, and the challenges of editing and page layout, the group focuses on the physical production of the book.
The workshop covers various binding methods, printing techniques and paper choices, with the aim of developing a deep understanding of the combination of textual and visual languages, as well as the principles of typography, composition and book architecture.
Each participant leaves the course with a digital copy of the book they have created, representing a true fusion of terminology, composition and book architecture.
