For the 5th year running, Leica has joined forces with the Planches Contact festival to offer an opportunity to enter into the practice of some of the guest photographers and learn about their creative and storytelling processes in a workshop with Julien Mignot and Matt Wilson.
Julien Mignot is a photographer renowned for his portraits of actors, artists and musicians. His personal work, produced during his residency for the festival, is exhibited at Point de vue.
Connecting with the subject, lighting, framing and composition, for three days he shares his expertise and passion, guiding participants through the various stages of creating a striking portrait.
Matt Wilson is known for his bold compositions, astonishing play of light and highly specific use of color, reminiscent of Flemish painting.
Over the course of the three days, Matt Wilson will share invaluable shooting tips on his approach to landscape photography.
