Charles BALAYER offers you an unusual marriage: playing jazz on a large Cavaillé-Coll organ! Famous classics: Take Five (Dave Brubeck), Caravan and Satin Dol (Duke Ellington), Tea for two (La grande vadrouille)... and also Bonsoir Jolie Madame (Trenet). In the second part of his recital, Charles BALAYER plays on his own Hammond organ, a legendary instrument from the 1970s. A unique opportunity to enjoy the same style of music, on two different instruments!
Charles BALAYER is one of the rare French organists to play both classical music and jazz: he is the titular organist of the great historic organ of the Collégiale Saint Martin de Brive, a renowned organist, composer, arranger, organ and improvisation teacher, and a guest at numerous festivals, playing both classical and Hammond organs.
