Theme parks are a family favourite! There are several different amusement parks scattered across Normandy, each offering guests unique rides, attractions, shows and dining all in one location. Follow the guide for a great day out!
Parc du Bocasse
Located in the heart of the Norman countryside, just twenty minutes drive from Rouen or Dieppe, Le Bocasse is Normandy’s oldest theme park. It is still family-run, and boasts a fantastic selection of rides for big and small. Thrill seakers will enjoy the Flash Tower or the Jurassic Coaster, while little ones will have fun in the play areas and splash pool. There is also a 4D cinema and a water-themed sound and light show worth viewing. The Splash-O-Saure, which descends backwards into the water, is a family favourite! New for this year is a small coaster for kids, a huge swinging pirate ship and even a jurassic burger restaurant! Buzzy, the park’s mascot, will also be hanging out all season long for photos and cuddles.
If you’re in search of Normandy’s largest theme park, then look no further! Located just a few miles West of Caen city centre, Festyland has a true Norman spirit as it focuses on Vikings, William the Conqueror and 1066. Don’t miss the Drakkar Express or the 1066 roller coaster which are unique in France. With over 30 rides, four restaurants and a 3D cinema, the whole family will have hours of fun. Throughout the summer, there are also live performances bringing knights, Vikings, pirates and dinosaurs to life.
Parc Ange Michel
Just 25 minutes from the Mont-Saint-Michel, this charming amusement park is set in beautiful surroundings. Ange Michel offers a wide variety of rides, ranging from small roller coasters to carousels, not forgetting the impressive 7D cinema! Children of all ages will love spending a whole day there, zooming down the slides and cooling off in the outdoor swimming pool, where there are a number of water rides. There is also a laser game, go-karts and even a vintage car museum to enjoy. New for this year is the unique flying sidecars ride!
Located ten miles North of Granville and covering 10000 square metres, Raptor Park is France’s largest indoor amusement park! Children will enjoy the soft play areas, mini golf, laser game, bouncy castles and trampoline park, all under one roof! A model dinosaur exhibition is also set to captivate young and old alike.
