Start the day at 10am in front of Caen la Mer tourist office, where you can pick up your first clues for the Bourg Le Roy puzzle-solving walking trail that will take you through the old town of Caen. With each puzzle you will learn something new about the city! It’s a fun way to learn about the history of Caen.

Clamber onto a segway for a tour of the city with a difference. After a brief introduction by your guide, you’re off on your way and in two hours have easily covered the main sites of the city, from the Women’s Abbey at one end to the Men’s Abbey at the other! Not forgetting Caen Castle and the marina, of course.

Riding a segway is hard work – it’s time for another drink!** Head for the Moon and Sons pub, which opened in 2019, and plunge into the world of Harry Potter and C.S Lewis, full of hippogriffs and house elves, witches and wardrobes and many other references besides. Be sure to try the butterbeer!
