The town hall is organizing a weekend of events in honor of the 2nd armored division, which was stationed in the commune for 5 days to regroup all General Leclerc's troops from August 1 to 5, 1944.
On the program:
Military camp from the evening of Sunday August 4 to midday on Tuesday August 6.
Sunday evening, August 4: installation of the "2e DB" military camp with 150 vehicles and 250 re-enactors. The camp will be set up at the salle des fêtes, route de la chapelle.
Monday, August 5.
Morning: ceremony at the 2e DB marker with mass and wreath-laying at the war memorial.
Normandy lunch open to all, subject to availability.
Afternoon: Inauguration of a stele at Camp Robert.
Evening: popular ball and fireworks. The French Patrol passes through during the day.
