As part of Normandie Impressionniste 2024.
Organized by Pays d'art et d'histoire.
The birthplace of Impressionism, Le Havre was a major source of inspiration for artists drawn by the light of the estuary, the activity of the port and the pleasures of the seaside. The guide looks back at the history of some of the major sites which, from the 19th century to the interwar period, served as motifs for painters such as Boudin, Monet and Dufy.
