On June 6, 1944, Operation Overlord began. The objective of the landing on Utah Beach was clear: to retake Cherbourg and its deep-water port, in order to bring in the men and equipment needed to retake France and Europe. On June 23, the soldiers were in front of the town. On the 26th, the surrender was signed. But the port had been heavily destroyed and mined, and it would take the Allies a month to restore it.

Guided tour in partnership with the town of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.

Duration: 2 hours - Recommended for children aged 8 and over.

Reservations required at the Cotentin Tourist Office.

Meeting point will be communicated after booking.
