In the summer of 1944, the Château de Vouilly played host to soldiers like no other. Unarmed soldiers. They were American war correspondents and press photographers sent to France. Their mission was to tell the story of the war to the families of soldiers who had left to fight. These men and women included such illustrious names as Capa, Hemingway, Pyle and Lee Miller The Hamel family invites you to take a tour of the press room, accompanied by a visit to the dovecote, the orangery and its pavilions. We also invite you to visit our exhibition "Lettre de Guerre au Château de Vouilly"
