This documentary, directed by Yvette d'Entremont and Luc d'Eon, aims to document and preserve a part of the history
of the village of Pubnico (Nova Scotia) so that future generations can remember their origins. The elders talk about
time spent at home with the extended family, their experiences at school, their relationship with religion, their favourite
favorite recipes, memories of Mi-Carême, to name but a few.
These stories, taken from their youth in the 30s, 40s and 50s, illustrate life in Acadia before the advent of television and new technologies
television and new technologies.
Dramatic re-enactments of many of these anecdotes (performed by children and adults) bring the stories to life
followed by a meeting with the director, Yvette d?Entremont.
