To mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the many battles fought for the Liberation. We'd like to highlight the little-known and misunderstood heritage of the Reconstruction period. Following the destruction caused by the German retreat, the commune of Dangy underwent a great deal of destruction, including the town hall, the school and the presbytery.
To rethink and rebuild the partially destroyed village, the work was entrusted to architects Adolphe Autard de Bragard and his associates Rose and Deloy, who had participated in the Reconstruction of Coutances and Roncey.
Over the course of this evening, we'll look at the history of this Reconstruction in an unusual light.
Meet at Dangy town hall.
Presentation begins at 9pm, at dusk.
