The Cabane Vauban de Jullouville: a heritage, historical and cultural site.

The Jullouville guardhouse, commonly known as the Cabane Vauban de Jullouville, is one of a network of coastal surveillance buildings set up under Vauban's instructions in the 17th century.
The recent restoration of this building, located on the GR223 - Sentier du littoral and on the Chemins du Mont Saint-Michel itinerary, has highlighted not only its architectural and historical treasures, but also its specialized trades, know-how, techniques and materials.

Two awards in 2023:
- A commemorative nail affixed to the façade at the entrance to the Vauban hut in Jullouville marks a symbolic stage of the Chemins du Mont Saint-Michel. It serves as a signpost for pilgrims and walkers who come to discover the site on their way, and can mark this stage in the Carnet du Miquelot thanks to the stamp available for free use inside the Cabane
- Awarded the "Rubans du Patrimoine" departmental prize for the state-of-the-art restoration of the Cabane Vauban de Jullouville, perfectly integrated and accessible to all. The choice of restoration of the ? Cabane Vauban de Jullouville contributes to the protection, enhancement and transmission of a communal heritage that should be accessible to all residents and visitors to our commune, which is classified as a Tourist Resort.
