There's no stopping Mes Souliers sont Rouges from marching forward, never with both feet in the same shoes! Always quick to break new ground, they reinvent themselves with original compositions and songs written to measure for their 8th album, which seals the renewal of the group already well underway since 2018.
While the instruments remain traditional, there are plenty of surprises in store! Like the accordion, which leans more towards Cajun sounds, or the uilleann pipes, the Irish bagpipes, sometimes heartbreaking in the introduction to "Suite Kennedy", sometimes nervous and indomitable on "La Demoiselle", a song written by Florent Vintrignier (La Rue Ketanou). Agility rivals the precision of the arrangements when it comes to delivering all the finesse of the lyrics by Marion Cousineau, who wrote 4 of the songs on the album herself!
With 30 years on the clock, this alternative folk phenomenon is still going strong!
