A day of remembrance and festivities, punctuated by various events and re-enactments, food and drink outlets, concerts and a closing fireworks display.

9:00 am - Eglise Saint-Martin de Chambois: solemn religious service "Messe pour la Paix" (Mass for Peace) in memory of the victims
11h00 - Mémorial de Montormel: international commemoration in the presence of foreign delegations, some 100 flag bearers and the brass band of the 6e Régiment du Génie d'Angers
11:15-13:00: tribute to General Maczek, speeches, wreath-laying and cocktail reception
1:30 - 2:15 pm: start of the Peace Walks (2 possible routes, 6 or 10km). Free participation, registration at www.orne.fr
3:00 pm: launch of the Appel de la Liberté festivities
- photo exhibition, carrousel, Résonnance choir, D. Day Ladies
- dancing and concerts, encampments, period vehicles (including the 2nd DB's Montereau tank), re-enactor parades
- parachute jumps
- airshow with the Amicale alençonnaise des avions anciens (Max-Holste Broussard, North American T6, Yakovlev Yak 3, Dassault Flamant MD311, MD 312 and M313, Conair Tracker)
9:00 pm: Concert "La folie des années 80 part en live" featuring Patrick Hernandez, Cookies Dingler, Jean-Pierre Mader, William (Début de soirée), Mario Ramsamy (Emile et Images), Pauline Ester, Christiane Abydol (Zouk Machine)... Free admission, reservation at www.orne.fr
