Normandy's heritage is showcased in all its forms: crafts, storytelling, dance... an opportunity to (re)discover Normandy and its know-how! This festive day will feature a folk group, horse-drawn carriage rides, giant soap bubbles, face painting for children, a costume parade, and much more!

On the program:

In the Parc André Fauvel, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, an initiation to choule crosse, an ancestral game in Normandy, is organized.

In the market parking lot:
Booths featuring local craftsmen and craftswomen invite you to discover a whole world of creations: exhibitions of paintings by artists, leatherworkers, ceramists, wood turners, luthiers, wood and glass pyrographers, cardboard furniture makers, bag makers, lace makers?
Normandy produce, vegetables, spirulina, cheese, honey, cider, apple juice and much more are also represented.
Tastings and demonstrations allow you to fully immerse yourself in these worlds!

At 4:30 p.m., a concert by the group Pas de Trois invites you to dance to the sounds of Laurent Barray?s diatonic accordion, Philippe Gibaux?s violin and Patrice Tiennot?s guitar and banjo, as you sing along to sea shanties and songs from the Normandy region! Scottishes, polkas, waltzes, rondes? Get ready for the avant-deux!

Under the market hall :
In addition to the local producers who are regulars, 5 chefs, members of the Toques Normandes association, will be on hand. They'll be offering tastings of their sweet and savoury "amuse-bouches" to delight your taste buds. The confréries de la teurgoule, de la fallue, du Pont-l?Évêque and perhaps du boudin blanc will be on hand to let you taste their products in a 100% Normandy atmosphere.

Jardin des Roses:
Normandy animations are planned, with initiations to Normandy table games that will appeal to children and adults alike: ferme-la-boîte, carambole à gouttière, esnèque, passe-trappe, jeu du camembert, jeu du cou de l?oie and bézettes... discover what's behind these curious names!

Plus :
- 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., open mini class: how to read and pronounce Norman, learning some useful everyday words and expressions
- 2 - 3 pm: bingo-vocabulary, Norman texts and songs
- 3pm to 4pm: sketches (short comic plays with few characters) and Norman texts

In town :
Restaurateurs and cafe owners are also creating a regional atmosphere with menus and cocktails concocted for the occasion. Shops are decorated in Norman colors.

There's also an opportunity to don the traditional Normandy costume, or simply don a headdress or clogs, to accompany the folk group Les Normand?hier as they parade through the streets of the town center! And if you like sewing, a pattern is available for making a Normandy headdress.

At the station exhibition hall:
You can discover a beautiful exhibition of painting, sculpture and children's creations, put on by the Houlgat-based association Arts et Savoirs.
