Come and share in an exceptional musical event for peace and unity!
This June, the regional association ?Normands de Choeur? will be performing a Grand Choral pour la Paix at Caen?s Zénith, as well as at Utah Beach and other emblematic sites.
Just imagine: 250 singers of all ages (including children), a top-class orchestra, singing Queen, Beethoven, Balavoine, Voulzy, Karl Jenkins, to classical and variety music "hits" around the theme of peace.
The show is intended as a sensitive voyage around our history and its resonance with current events, based on testimonies, soldiers' correspondence, and great songs about peace: Les feux d'artifice, Voler de nuit (Calogero), Pour la femme veuve qui s'éveille (Balavoine), Va Pensiero, from Nabucco (Verdi), as well as Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen), Voulzy, Karl Jenkins, and more. as well as an original creation, "Le jour où tu reviendras" (The Day You Return), specifically conceived for this project, which recounts the war from the point of view of the mother of a young soldier at the front, who trembles every day as she listens to the radio.
Join us for a great show and a unique moment of sharing! For lovers of polyphony in all its forms.
