The Jobourg Sheep Fair is organized by the Jobourg Fair Committee. Find out what's on during the fair!

A sheep fair in the commune of Jobourg, created in 1937 by the municipal council of the time, now welcomes 400 sheep and over 7,000 people every year.

A morning sale of roussins de la Hague (a small breed of hardy sheep native to the Hague region).

A huge meal under the 1,000 m2 tent with the local and summer population, with lamb grilled over a wood fire (a great Cotentin tradition)

An all-day sheep show reserved for the Roussine de la Hague breed, with sheep proudly exhibited by local breeders.

The festival is rounded out by a wide range of sheep-related activities (flock dogs, shearing, wool spinning), crafts, local produce, music with an evening concert and folk dance, and children's activities..

What's on offer?
The program covers the whole day, including the evening.
Admission and parking are free.
In the morning, the traditional sheep and goat fair: around 300 sheep and a few goats and donkeys.
Competition reserved for the Roussine breed from 10 a.m.: around 150 sheep.

A cattle show (Normandy and Prim?holstein breeds).
Ditch goat show (new in 2023)
Roussin ram show (to be confirmed): on Friday afternoon, a sale of selected Roussin rams will be organized by OSCAR for the benefit of breeders. Most of these animals will be exhibited the following day.

Sheep weighing: a sheep to be won by evaluating the weight of a sheep by eye. Winners take home pieces of mutton from the leg to the collar (to taste, of course).

Pony rides.

All-day lamb rotisserie (lunch and dinner).

Grilled lamb will be featured. French fries, crêpes and refreshments.
Free marquee for catering.
Local products and crafts: wool, honey, jams, farmhouse bread, pastries, cheeses, dairy products, wines, cider products, terrines, duck confits and foie gras, charcuterie, fruit, vegetables, etc. Local writers also come to present their books.

Sheep-related activities.
- Sheep and goose herding.
- Traditional and modern sheep shearing.
Activities for children :
. Games for children to make from elder wood: whistle, kazoo, potato cannon with the association La Carpelouse, in the afternoon.
. Wool felting


Mini agricultural show:
Presentation of farm animals and their young, high and low yard ? pedicure,
ultrasound, ...

Evening: rotisserie, French fries and folk dance with the "Yes Trio" group around 8:30 p.m
followed by a grand concert with "HighLand Safari" around 10:30 pm (sea chanteys)
