Born and raised in Normandy, France, I've always been interested in photography, and since retiring I've decided to take it more seriously.
So I'm a self-taught amateur photographer. Being a nature lover, my favorite subjects are flowers, landscapes and the vast animal world.
Hence insects, which take pride of place in my pictures. Indeed, most of them were taken in my garden, which is cultivated without chemical products, thus encouraging the presence of a rich biodiversity.
Encountering this little world, which is often overlooked, and discovering their usefulness to our planet, helps us to better understand and respect the fragile nature that surrounds us.
I've learned to develop and hone my photographic eye to find a subject that touches me and appeals to me, enabling me to convey a feeling, an emotion...
For me, photography is a fascinating world, enriching my knowledge day by day. It also enables me to capture what the human eye cannot always see, to develop my sense of observation, and to cultivate patience, an essential quality for capturing a moment in time
patience, an indispensable quality for capturing the magic moment...
As a naturalist photographer, I also like to work in a more contemporary way, as shown by the special effects achieved on some of my shots.
Photography is about learning to look, and I'm delighted and honored to be able to share that look with you today.
