The paleontological site of the Vaches Noires cliffs bears witness to an era in the Earth?s history: the Jurassic. The cliffs were formed by the accumulation of sediments deposited by the tropical sea that covered Normandy at the time. Today, fossils of ammonites, sea urchins, nautiluses, plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs, etc. can be found here
A Paléospace guide will accompany you to discover the history of this landscape and familiarize you with the many fossils for which the site is famous.
