The best amateur riders in Normandy meet in Deauville on the Grand Régional circuit, organized by the Comité Régional d?Equitation en Normandie. This federal circuit is dedicated to amateur riders in categories 1 (1m15), 2 (1m05) and Elite (1m25). Modelled on the Grand National, it aims to showcase the "Grand Prix Amateurs" in Normandy and enable amateurs to gain experience before entering the professional circuit. It consists of nine stages, organized between April and September, each of which earns points towards qualification for the grand final.
