To commemorate the Canadians' participation in the liberation of Saint-Germain-la-Blanche-Herbe, a commemoration will be held over the weekend of July 5-6-7, 2024.
The program includes :
Friday, July 5 :
Set-up of a military camp by re-enactors near the Abbaye d?Ardenne, arrival of the first vehicles
Saturday, July 6, 2024:
- Opening of the camp to the public
- Conference on the liberation, testimonies from the elders
- ARPADOR choir performs theme songs from the 1940s
- Commemoration at the Canadian memorial garden with a Peppers band
- Parade of military vehicles in neighboring communes
- Popular 1940s music ball in the urban park of Saint Germain la Blanche Herbe
Sunday, July 7, 2024:
- Opening of the camp to the public presentation of vehicles
