This year, l?ensemble scolaire Bignon presents its new production based on the eponymous musical film royally directed by Whoopi Goldberg in the 1990s: Sister Act.
Following on from La Cigale et la Fourmi, Matilda, Miss Me, Killer Queen and Les elfes du songe d?une nuit d?été, it's Dolorès Van Cartier's turn to show you the full extent of the work done by students from quatrième to terminale enrolled in the Musical Theater Workshop.
With a new disco-funk orchestration by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas), Dolorès attempts to become a revue leader in Curtis Jackson's cabaret. To protect her from his vengeance, agent Eddie Sutter will open the doors of a convent for her, a far cry from the diva?
Music, dance, theater and humor are the main ingredients of these two evenings presented by this school musical comedy troupe.
