In connection with the cross-heritage inventory operation currently underway in the Villequier commune, this Rendez-vous du Parc invites you to take part in a sensory discovery of the village?s heritage, focusing on Villequier bricks and the presence of several mills in the commune. It's a fun and friendly way to discover the village's specific geology and hydrography, which led to the construction of several water mills, followed by the development of a clay extraction business (Kimmeridgian deposit) and a factory (Etablissements Céramiques de Villequier) producing bricks, tiles, pavers and other terracotta decorative items (finials, planters, etc.) between 1866 and 1895. Some of these items were sent to the former French colonies, and many bricks can still be seen in towns along the Seine.

Gaëlle Pottier, in charge of cross-heritage inventories at the Park, and guide Sandrine Pérégrine will lead this Rendez-vous du Parc during a sensory and cultural stroll, ending with a tasting of local products. This visit is also part of the Journées du patrimoine de pays et des moulins (local heritage and mills days).
