80 years ago, on Sunday August 13, 1944, the commune of Tourouvre experienced the most tragic episode in its history: 18 dead, 9 wounded, 57 houses burnt down and 184 inhabitants left homeless on the morning of August 14. In order to pass on this story and anchor it in the local memory, the association "Les Passeurs de mémoire" will present you with a book bringing together all the testimonies and historical material on this tragedy, as well as a website.
The day will end with a concert by Christian Champagne in Tourouvre's Saint-Aubin church.
