The event will take place in the town of Bretteville-sur-Ay and in various locations: salle des fêtes, médiathèque, salle de conseil and on the town hall square, with exhibitions of photos, paintings, historical books, objects and more. A parade of jeeps, the Port-Bail brass band, locals and visitors in period costume will take a short route to the war memorial and around the church. A concert featuring songs from the period will be given by the Geffosses and Bretteville-sur-Ay choirs in the town hall square. At lunchtime, a country-style meal with rotisserie and refreshment bar will be served in the field near the town hall, to the sound of the accordion.
The "rando Brettevillaises" association will be organizing a hike around the town's memorial sites on Thursday, July 11.
These events will be intergenerational.
