Arromanches

Arromanches-les-Bains is right at the heart of the D-Day landings beaches in the Gold Beach sector. Today, the village is famous all over the world due to the remains of the famous artificial harbour, named after Winston Churchill, with the code name Mulberry A. On 6 June each year, the town celebrates the D-Day landings. Arromanches is also a seaside resort, nestling between two cliffs with an attractive sandy beach.
