Welcome to Val-ès-Dunes, the territory where William the Conqueror’s epic adventure began, a site steeped in history and testimony, from the Roman Way to the D-Day Landings, over a wealth of exchange and encounters of all the peoples who have come here, to settle, or to meet with other fates.

The Tourist Office has been renovated and reorganised to best introduce you to all the treasures of Val-ès-Dunes:
its heritage, its history with William’s battle, the beauty of its Romanesque churches, the Moulin de la Porte mill, etc.

A special environment, a vast range of walking routes, an alcaline marshland and a hundred hectares located between the Pays d’Auge and the Caen plain.
Excellent local produce, including cider, pommeau and, of course, calvados.

Culture, seasonal fairs and events - medieval, getaways, music and theatre… all in Val-ès-Dunes.

Services, rural self-catering holiday rentals and guest houses, B&Bs, routes and trails for hikers and travelling cyclists, including the >60km ‘Grand Boucle VTT’ mountain biking route, an aquatic centre with fun pool, slide, racer slide, well-being and gym area.
