10 minutes from the centre of Cherbourg, a haven of peace and quiet, surrounded by an old forest of beeches and oaks and the typical 'bocage' countryside. Unwind for an hour or so and enjoy the scents and colours, the rich variety of plants, the luxurious growth, the occasional surprise. Approximately 5000 sq metres in size, an apparently effortless harmony of colours and shapes with different vistas and surprises at every corner around an old stone house. Old and new roses, rare and wild flowers all carefully but nonchalantly mixed together to provide a treat for the senses. The French like to call it an "English garden", which I suppose it is. Isn't the world full of the most amazing plants ?
