The bicentenary purple beech known as "de Chateaubriand" has a circumference of 6.45 m at 1 m from the ground, and is 24 m high. It was awarded the A.R.B.R.E.S. label in May 2010, and stands at the rear of the manor house, in the Cour des Communs.
