The reclaimed land of Veys Bay is a highly important wetland that provides wild birds with a calm environment and abundant food. Thousands of waders and ducks, alongside dozens of seals, pass the winter in the bay. The terrestrial part of Beauguillot Nature Reserve contains many rare or protected plant species such as the marsh orchid, the loose-flowered orchid and even the excitingly-named adder’s tongue!
