The announcement of a wonderful experience to be enjoyed this summer: the European Eventing Championships at the Haras National du Pin.
French (and Norman) ringmaster M. Legoupil, who will also be officiating at the 2024 Olympic Games, will be working with “the” leader in cross-country obstacle design, who is British.

Ustica, the Norman organisation that created the Grand Complet, one of the most important eventing competitions in Europe and the only one of international level in Normandy, will be offering the public, enthusiasts and professionals in the equine industry an event worthy of the excellence that characterises French equestrianism.

What’s “Le Grand Complet”? It is a concentration of emotions, festive atmosphere, family activities around the horse in an exceptional site: the Haras National du Pin. This “Versailles for Horses” located in the heart of Normandy hosts one of the largest eventing competitions organised in France. A demanding, spectacular discipline that will delight young and old alike.
Some of the events will take place at the new sports centre, where horses, riders and spectators will be welcomed in exceptional conditions. Around 80 rider/horse pairs, representing between 15 and 20 countries, where the best nations will compete at the new sports complex at Le Pin National Stud.
The event’s organisers are calling on nearly 300 volunteers, including some from the UK. As for the participants, some of the teams will be competing for selection for the 2024 Olympic Games.

As well as an exciting sporting spectacle, spectators will be able to enjoy a wide range of events. The Haras national du Pin, for its part, will be offering a horse show in the heart of the Aure riding school, the traditional Jeudi du Pin, as well as free, guided or commented tours of its historic heart, the discovery of its collection of horse-drawn carriages, and rides in golfettes or on electric bikes to make the most of the Parc du Hautbois (during the Haras’ opening hours). Between two events, spectators will have plenty of time to eat or stroll through the aisles of the exhibitors’ village and the wellness area.

For the general public there will be the possibility of accommodation in lodges (top-of-the-range) in the meadows of Vieux Pin with a view of the cross-country course.

An unforgettable moment to join!
