It’s not everyday you come across a church like this one!

Eccentric and colourful, this small church certainly stands out from the rest! The paintings both outside and inside are the works of Priest Victor Paysant (1841-1921), who was appointed Pastor of Ménil-Gondouin in 1873. Inspired by his travels and pilgrimages, he worked until 1921 to decorate and furnish the church that became known as ‘the living and speaking church of Menil-Gondouin’ and which today is a real little gem of a museum.
Beautiful inside and out
