Originally running alongside the Bassin Bérigny, which was filled in in 1936, Rue Jules Ferry bears witness to the development of regionalist and eclectic trends at the end of the 19th century. The modernist volumes of the Villa Perrotte stand in stark contrast to the false panelling, overhanging roofs and recessed woodwork of the other houses on the street.
