In the 20th century, the nuclear sector developed in the Cotentin region, bringing a new industrial dynamism to the area. Among the sites on show is Andra (Agence nationale pour la gestion des déchets radioactifs), France?s first radioactive waste disposal site.
A tour of the site provides an insight into the management of radioactive waste and the ongoing monitoring of the environment (water, air and plants), as well as showing how the memory of the site is passed on to future generations.
Duration: 2 hours - recommended for children aged 6 and over.
Reservations required at the Cotentin Tourist Office.
