Once again, Philippe Lafeuille has bent over backwards to concoct a visual universe based on quartered hair...
Letting his imagination run wild, he invented four by four choreographic games for his four dancers, who you never know whether they're going to end up on all fours or in the air. A quartet, then, made up of a contemporary dancer, a hip-hop dancer, another acrobat and a fourth actor.
Four performers, four worlds, for a Puissance 4 of possibilities for play and gesture, perhaps to Vivaldi's Four Seasons, perhaps to Jules Perrot's Pas de quatre, among others?
Whatever the case, at the bottom of this A4 page you'll find the inimitable signature of this most leafy of choreographers: a delightful, inventive proposal in which dance plays with theater, circus, humor and poetry.
