Did you know that Mozart had a composer sister? That Nubia was home to a matriarchal civilization as rich and flourishing as the Egyptians? Or that the world's largest pirate fleet was captained
by a woman? Zoé Grossot and Lou Simon, both co-creators of the show, unearth portraits of women
extraordinary destinies that our history has erased. But beyond these forgotten historical figures, there are all those whose names will never be known, all those who will remain in the shadows, barely noticed. Using paper silhouettes, Zoé Grossot creates a one-woman show of another reality, ignored by our collective imaginations, and offers us other models and representations outside of gender stereotypes. A journey across continents and eras that gives pride of place to women, their diversity, their exceptional but also dramatic destinies, their daily lives, their struggles and their strength. A collective celebration to which she benevolently invites the audience.
