The commune of Monchaux-Soreng is the result of the union of 3 parishes: Monchaux, Soreng and l'Epinoy. This small village, once walled (1660), now boasts only a cluster of ruins and a feudal motte, a reminder of the vanished castle.
200 years of Monchaux-Soreng" exhibition: a photo exhibition on the town's heritage will be held in the village hall. The exhibition features the work of "Jan and Jos creations"
A book has also been published to mark the town's 200th anniversary. It tells the story of 2 hikers who discover the history of the village through encounters along the way. You can preview the book at the exhibition opening on Friday, September 20 at 6.30pm.
Throughout the weekend, the book will be on sale in the village hall.
Free admission to the exhibition on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:30.
