GUIDED TOUR OF THE FORMER PRISON - Les Dominicaines

Pont-l'Évêque's former prison, located at Les Dominicaines, Espace Culturel & Artothèque, was built in 1823 by architect Harou Romain. It is a rare example in France of a prison administration building preserved after its closure. Used to incarcerate prisoners until 1953, the former prison has seen a number of significant transformations. Now restored, it bears witness to the revival of 19th-century prison architecture. Guided and dramatized tours and themed events are organized here. It is also a location for film productions.

THEATRICAL TOURS OF THE FORMER PRISON - Les Dominicaines

By Cie Auloffée

Tiffany Monroe from the E. Mouv.Bilier agency meets with a group to present an exceptional property promoted by the agency: the former prison in Pont L'évêque! A place where everything is possible: luxury hotel, coworking space, lounge bar... Tiffany has already imagined it all. Admittedly, there's no denying that the premises are a little gloomy and even dilapidated, but Tiffany, as a great real estate professional, is sure to be persuasive. But what she doesn't know is that this place has a soul, souls... The ghosts of the past lurk here, reminding visitors of the building's true history. Janitor, inmate, visitor, they have all left their mark and don't take kindly to this stranger's plans. Determined to bear witness to what life was like within these walls, the spectres are not going to spare Tiffany. But Tiffany is not one to let the spotlight fall on her! This visit promises to be a surprise!
