A former sports journalist with TF1 and Le Parisien, and a specialist in horse racing, Jean-François Pré is also a prolific writer of thrillers in which the world of racing is never far away.
A live racing commentator alongside André Théron and Léon Zitrone, and creator of "La minute hippique", Jean-François Pré has now turned to writing detective novels. His latest opus, "L?étrange mort de Monsieur Stas", was published in November 2023. The next is due out in November 2024. His last eight novels and ten short stories, grouped together under the title "Août meurtrier" (Murderous August), feature Langsamer, a former Deauville police commissioner turned volunteer private detective. Jean-François Pré won the Prix de la Région Normandie at the Salon d?Aumale
in 2016, with "Double JE", as well as the Prix du Polar Normand 2020 with "Les neuf jours du cafard".
