The 1953 film follows the wanderings of a seven-year-old boy from the streets of Brooklyn, lost among the fairground attractions of Coney Island. During filming, a portable camera was specially designed to discreetly follow the boy through the crowds. The soundtrack was created at a later date. Éric Chenaux offers us a total re-creation with guitar, announced dialogues and incongruous recordings. This complete renewal gives the film a dynamic freshness and gently draws us into this fiction.
