Hautot-le-Vatois church boasts a seigneurial chapel, built between 1632 and 1635 against the north wall of the choir. Abbé COCHET, an archaeologist recognized as one of the founders of archaeology as a scientific discipline in France, wrote in 1852 in his book "Les églises de l?arrondissement d?Yvetot": "But the marvel of this church is the chapel of the Blessed Virgin, built on the north side of the choir. We're not afraid to say that, withered, faded and mutilated as it is, it remains, for a true connoisseur, one of the prettiest chapels in the Yvetot district, and a true masterpiece of the reign of Louis XIII". I can assure you that it is no longer withered, faded or mutilated. Between 2009 and 2011, with the support of the Fondation du Patrimoine, the chapel was restored to its former glory, with the grisaille stained glass windows depicting angel musicians - which have been listed in the heritage inventory since 1937 - the vaulted ceiling painted with motifs to the glory of the Blessed Virgin, and the altarpiece. In 2022, the chapel was awarded the Label Patrimoine Rural by the Conseil Départemental de la Seine-Maritime.
