Jazz In Mémorial : Oran Etkin, la clarinette du « Roi du Swing », Benny Goodman à l’honneur

Benny Goodman, nicknamed the "King of Swing", is a clarinet virtuoso, composer and bandleader whose career has spanned all styles: from jazz to classical, blues to baroque, big band to quartet. He was also the first to abolish racial discrimination in orchestras, integrating musicians of color such as Lionel Hampton, Teddy Wilson and Grene Krupa.
Oran Etkin is a clarinettist, composer and conductor who draws on classical, Jewish and African musical traditions. The artist pays faithful homage to the "King of swing", Benny Goodman, whose two facets he celebrates: the music of his big band, which launched swing, and that of his quartet, which became the first group to bring together white and black musicians.
