Visual artist and teacher, graduated from the Beaux-arts de Caen in 2003 with honors
Registered with the Maison des Artistes since 2006. I have developed my visual universe in France and abroad.
I have collaborated with public institutions such as DRAC Normandie, FDAC de l'Orne, Centre des arts d'Enghien les Bains, Musée des Beaux-Arts D'Alençon and private galleries such as Vente Privée head office, Galerie In Situ, Galerie Hors Champ...
I'm developing a hybrid plastic practice that questions and renews classical statuary.
Although the human figure enables me to create a link between all my creations, it is by no means the primary subject.
These figures appear both massive and paradoxically fragile, full of emptiness. This emptiness activates and gives shape to these silhouettes. The viewer must then select what he or she observes: foreground, background, structures, lacework, or the space in and around the works.
Light intrudes into the interstices, redrawing these silhouettes as the hours pass.
Whether real or suggested, movement appears in different forms. These sculptures oscillate, vibrate and move in space. In addition to suggested movement, real movement is created, activated by the viewer's movements.
The renewal of form is also achieved through the materials used.
Far from ancient marbles or bronzes, these materials become poor > or extremely technical.
Lace takes shape and becomes spatialized, metallic, colored, or finally disappears in favor of plant fibers.
These representations evoke both the primitive arts and the most recent digital modelling.
These fragmentary silhouettes appear as signs and rhythms in space, simplifying them to the extreme, bordering on abstraction.
