Coupe d’Or – Barrière Deauville Polo Cup

Major events,

DEAUVILLE

23/08/2024

If ever there was an illustrious polo tournament in France, it's the Coupe d'Or, which brings the world championship to a close in Deauville and features the biggest names in international polo. Created in 1950 by Barrière Group founder François André, the competition began with 14/16-goal teams vying for the coveted title.

In 2023, after a first triumph in the Coupe d'Argent, the stands of the Deauville International Polo Club applauded the victory of the Barrière Polo Team in the prestigious Coupe d'Or, after a fierce battle. A first victory in "16 goals" for French captain Isabelle Lerenaudie! To reach this level, she had to put together a team made up of the Zavaleta family, which has remained the same since last year. Two brothers, Simon and Ramiro, who know each other like the back of their hand, led by a cousin, Juan Martin, a regular at the world?s top level, taking part in the Argentine Open, the world?s most prestigious tournament.
