SAINT-JEAN-LE-THOMAS

Accustomed to playing together from an early age, and graduates of the Académie Ravel in Saint Jean de Luz and the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP), Magdalena and Carolina SYPNIEWSKI have led various chamber music projects, and in 2016 formed a trio with their sister Anna. Together, they have been invited to play at numerous festivals in France and abroad.

Magdalena, the violinist, born in 1996, studied at the CNSMD in Roland Daugareil?s class and benefited from Stéphan Picard?s teaching during an Erasmus exchange in Berlin. She was selected to take part in two sessions of the Seiji Ozawa String Quartet Academy. She won 2nd prize at the Cullerarts International Violin Competition.
After studying with Jérôme Pernoo, the eldest, cellist Caroline took part in Gautier Capuçon?s class of excellence at the Fondation Vuitton, then went on to perfect her skills at the Mozarteum in Salzburg in the class of Clemens Hagen. Named Révélation de l?Adami 2017, she plays regularly at the Centre de musique de chambre de Paris, and was awarded the Grand Prix de l?Académie Ravel.

On the program: duets (Kodaly, Gliere ...) and Handel?s passacaglia Halvorsen.

A superb evening of chamber music in prospect!
